लखनऊ (राजेश सिंह)। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने मंगलवार को सिपाही नागरिक पुलिस के 60,244 पदों पर होने वाली सीधी भर्ती में सभी वर्गों के अभ्यर्थियों को आयु सीमा में तीन वर्ष की छूट देने का आदेश दिया है। अभ्यर्थियों द्वारा आयु सीमा में छूट की मांग का संज्ञान लेते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रमुख सचिव गृह संजय प्रसाद को इस संबंध में आवश्यक कार्यवाही करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। बता दें कि आयु सीमा में छूट देने के लिए कई जनप्रतिनिधियों ने मुख्यमंत्री को पत्र लिखा था।
दरअसल, सिपाही भर्ती का नोटिफिकेशन जारी होने के बाद आयु सीमा को लेकर असंतोष पनप रहा था। अभ्यर्थियों की मांग पर केंद्रीय मंत्री संजीव बालियान, भाजपा सांसद वीरेंद्र सिंह मस्त समेत कई विधायकों ने मुख्यमंत्री को पत्र लिखा था। इससे पहले समाजवादी पार्टी के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव और राष्ट्रीय लोकदल के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष चौधरी जयंत सिंह ने भी आयु सीमा में छूट देने की मांग की थी। वहीं, हाईकोर्ट में भी इस संबंध में याचिका दायर कर दी गयी। सबसे ज्यादा नाराजगी सामान्य वर्ग की आयु सीमा को लेकर पनप रही थी। दरअसल, पुलिस भर्ती एवं प्रोन्नति बोर्ड द्वारा सामान्य वर्ग के अभ्यर्थियों की आयु सीमा 18 से 22 वर्ष निर्धारित की गयी है। पुलिस में भर्ती होने के इच्छुक युवाओं की दलील थी कि वर्ष 2018 के पांच साल बाद करीब 60 हजार पदों पर भर्ती होने जा रही है।
मुख्यमंत्री के आदेश के बाद सामान्य वर्ग के ऐसे अभ्यर्थी जिनकी 18 वर्ष से अधिक हो, लेकिन 25 वर्ष पूरी न हुई हो, आवेदन कर सकेंगे। इसी तरह 28 वर्ष से कम उम्र की महिलाएं और 30 वर्ष से कम उम्र के अन्य वर्गों के अभ्यर्थी आवेदन कर सकेंगे।
अभ्यर्थियों की दलील थी कि भर्तियों में पांच साल का विलंब होने से तमाम युवाओं की आयु सीमा इससे अधिक हो चुकी है। इससे उनको पुलिस में भर्ती होने का मौका नहीं मिल सकेगा। बता दें कि वर्ष 2018 में सिपाही के कुल 49,568 पदों पर भर्ती हुई थी। इनमें नागरिक पुलिस के 31,360 और पीएसी के 18,208 के पद शामिल थे।
युवाओं के हितों एवं उनके उज्जवल भविष्य के लिए सरकार पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध है। इसी क्रम में यूपी पुलिस में आरक्षी नागरिक पुलिस के पद पर भर्ती के लिए जारी प्रक्रिया में सभी वर्गों के अभ्यर्थियों के लिए उच्चतम आयु सीमा में तीन वर्ष की छूट देने का निर्णय लिया गया है।- योगी आदित्यनाथ, मुख्यमंत्री।
