Apart from targeting Pandit's entire village at two places, the thieves also targeted the house of the former DGP and broke the lock of the room of his nephew Umakant alias Bablu Pandey and took away cash along with jewelery worth about Rs 1.25 lakh. The interesting thing is that hours after the information, the local police reached the crime scene and returned back. On information, the field unit team from the city reached the spot. As soon as the information was received, ACP Major Vimal Kishore Mishra also reached with the SOG team and inspected the spot and interrogated the people.
