Meja. Prayagraj (Rajesh Shukla). MUNPL's CEO Sh. Sunil Kumar inaugurated the Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) Winter Workshop 2024 at the St. Joseph's school auditorium. The week-long workshop aims to further enhance the skills of the girls selected & trained under GEM 2023 summer program through diverse training activities including art & craft, dance, yoga, music, and theatre.
Addressing the young minds, Sh. Sunil Kumar emphasized their pivotal role in shaping the nation's future, stating, "You are the future of this nation as girls have the power to change society. Your dedication, commitment, and willpower shall help you in fulfilling your dreams."
He urged them to prepare for the future, underlining the importance of the follow-up workshop in reinforcing and improving the skills acquired during the summer workshop. The event also witnessed a feedback session, allowing the girls to share their thoughts and previous experiences.
The event also witnessed an inspiring address of Aparajita Mahila Samaj President Smt. Usha Kumar, who praised the central govt’s unique initiative of girl child education – “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and highlighted the collective responsibility to offer quality education to young girls.
She stressed the changing landscape where girls stand equally in every sector and deserve equal opportunities to contribute to the nation's growth. Smt. Usha Kumar expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute under this unique initiative.
Sh. Sunil Kumar concluded the inauguration ceremony with inspiring words, "If you teach a boy, you teach an individual, but if you teach a girl, you teach a community."
He urged the girls to seize the opportunity, rise, and shine making their parents, community and MUNPL proud and said, “you will be our brand ambassadors, so work hard, maintain good health, succeed and make all of us proud wherever you go.”
During the event, Heads of various other departments, NEAM president, AMS members and other staff were also present.
